It sounds as though you could definetly have an interesting year. I am sure that by the end of the year you will have an interesting experience to compare to previous years.
As for ideas, since you have only
boys it would be fun to do sports themes throughout the year. I know that there are some thematic books in print that cover many of the typical sports and show you how to integrate it into all subjects. Read alouds could be easily geared toward your eager to learn gentlemen.
A group of my gifted guys from last year spent part of there time building a roller coaster with Kinex (sp?)
and then shared with the rest of the class the probability of certain things happening and how they determined the shape of the track (for speed purposes). They really enjoyed this. (My group was 5th grade though, so some of it might have to be a bit watered-down). What ever you do...have fun and enjoy this rare opportunity!
