Clip to ScrapBook
1) Take a large ball of yarn/string. Have your kids sit in a circle. Hold one end and roll/throw the ball to someone. Tell 2 new things learned about that person. They hold part of the string tightly and throw it to someone
else in the cirlce and say 2 nice things. This keeps going with everyone holding their area of the ball of string. Eventually you make a big net/spider web type of design. (Remind everyone to hold it tight!) At the end, tie in a discussion of how we are all connected when we communicate with each other, both good and talking out problems, how we all have things in common, and created
this big design. Then ask a few kids to drop their string or cut the middle, etc. and talk about how the design is no longer nice and has fallen apart b/c they weren't all "pulling their weight."

2) You may need to split your class in half for this. Make a human pretzel by having your kids stand in a circle, shoulder to shoulder. THey reach out and grab 2 hands making sure that the 2 hands belong to 2 different people. The kids must untangle themselves without letting go and without yelling. Great fun, problem-solving, and teamwork!

I've used both and the kids have loved them! Good luck!
