    is a fun game to play with the class, and it can be adapted to almost any subject.
    All you need is flash cards and a die.

    I divide the class into teams and lay out the four bases in the room. They can be really on the floor or a designated spot in the room. The student who is up to bat stands at home plate and I sit at second base. I ask the student a question, history or geo review, spelling word, math fact, what ever. If they get the ? right, they roll one die.

    One=single, Two= double, three=triple, 4=homerun, 5/6=pop fly/strike out.
    Three outs and the other team takes their turn at bat. Same rules as regular ball, except no stealing.

    I like this because sometimes the smarter kids, know the answer, but cannot get on base. It levels the playing field, because I can ask a struggling student and easier ?, and even if they roll a 5/6, they are excited about getting a ? right.

    I make the students run the bases like regular, and if they end up at second, they get to ask the ?. I have the kids slap my hand as they "round" second.
