What about magazines?

Does he like sports? There is a Sports Illustrated for children. Does he like video games? There are magazines for those too. Usually students who have a problem with reading, like short articles better than long novels. Also try riddle or joke books with lots of pictures. Or they usually like The Guinness Book of World Records because there are short blurbs to read. Also, try a longer novel that all his friends are reading, but get it on CD to listen to as he follows along with the book. Tell him it is for his next long family trip to keep him entertained in the car or plane. Also look at website called guysread for ideas of books that boys like. Good luck!
