First days of school
By Amy

Clip to ScrapBook
One idea for the first day of school is to make a "Getting to Know You" book. I break the students up into pairs and then they have to interview each other. They use the information to later write a paragraph or two about their partner. If you have an odd number of students, one could interview you! While the students are working I take pictures of each of them. Later the students type their paragraphs on the computer and scan the appropriate picture to the page. After everyone has finished I assemble it into a book and each student gets a copy.

This project allows you to assess their ELA skills and their ability to use technology.
