Planning...what's that?
By Moakey2

Clip to ScrapBook
At our school we have 50 minutes at 10:45 to 11:35. This is usually our conference/tutor hour as well. We are required to be at school at 7:00, then our students come for tutoring sessions at 7:30. Very little time to
breathe!!! Then when the day ends at 3:00 we have time to plan until 3:30. It is at each teacher's discretion whether they want to leave or not. I am usually there until 5:30 and I am still not finished. I feel as you do...never enough time in the day. The major complaint I have is that some teachers arrive just before 7 in the morning and leave right at 3:30. I often wonder how they
do it...then I see, they don't tutor, their planning period is free, and they give the lesson to the students, then sit at their desk while the students are working on their seat work and grade papers... What ever happened to teaching... Wow! That felt good to get out... Thank you. I know there are people out there who really do care and sometimes feel as I do, that they don't have a life.
