Clip to ScrapBook
Thanks so much for the advice. I think I'll do the marble jar to start off with. There is very little stability in this class. Out of 21 kids: only 7 have a mom and a dad, 9 live with single moms and/or boyfriends and 5 live with another family member or guardian. I want them to be secure in our classroom environment. Homework is not regularly returned with the effort of a parents' help. I don't believe that kids have to be rewarded for everything they do but I do want them to know that I am setting high expectations for them. In return I want them to feel pride and accomplishment at least at school. I'll let you know how next week goes.
