Clip to ScrapBook
I work in a school with disadvantaged children. I have a problem with students bringing in homework. I began a program where EVERY day those who did their homework, placed it in the basket, and had their name on it recieved
one gummy bear. At the end of the month, those who did homework for 95% of the time recieved a homework certificate (sometimes a real one, sometimes a photocopy of one) to take home. I also when needed to boost desire to complete homework would hand out a homework pass to a student(s) who always do their homework. These are just a photocopy of a note from me that they would place
on a homework assignment that they decieded to not do. Their homework was still counted that day. The percentage on completed homework went up greatly when I implemented this program. The cost is minimal. I can buy a HUGE bag of gummy bears for $6.00 and it will last a long time. OH, yes. They also get what color they get. They can't tell me what color they want. This system worked really well for me.
