word walls
By Lesia

Clip to ScrapBook
I do not have room for the huge word wall so other teachers at my school and I made smaller versions. We glued library pockets on tagboard and laminated them. You then slit the openings to the pockets and add an index card. Label the pockets with the letters of the alphabet. Leave one open for extra cards. The kids can come and get the letter they need and the teacher or aide can add the word to the card. Students love the hands on feeling they get when they use these for writing.
