I know!! You guys, this boy is a sweet young man and my heart goes out to him. I asked about getting him tested for sped, but they told me the parents refuse for him to be tested. I bet he doesn't even read on a 5th grade level! The parents also do not want him moved for age appropriateness! I know he would not pass the 7th grade even if he was moved. Iv'e graded some of his work today. I feel helpless in this matter. Isn't it considered some sort of neglect refusing a child of services! I teach in Mississippi, by the way.
