I would recommend against getting any hamsters in your class. They smell terrible if you don't keep their pen cleaned regularly...they escape and once they have their freedom they're hard to catch. When they do escape they do terrible damage to things in your class like bean bags, books, carpet etc. BUT MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL THEY BITE AND IT HURST LIKE CRAZY!!!!! You can't take the risk of them biting your students.
