Multi age
By Debbie

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi all,
I agree that integration is the way to go. My partner and I copied all the standards for both grade levels in Science, Social Studies and Health. We got a large piece of butcher paper and started categorizing
things that might fit together in one spot. We put the product standards in the middle and the process standards on the outer edges (because process will be ongoing regardless of the content). Then we chunked the curriculum categories into quarters, (actually since we have so much to cover in fourth-we're 3/4 for our state stuff, we're devoting a semester to it, but won't need to revisit
it for two years). The next job is to find good literature titles to support the content in Language arts, as well as Science experiments to expand upon thru Mathematics.
Just post again or email if you have other questions...we LOVE multi age! ;-D
