Pets and allergies

Another thing to consider would be whether you are allergic to the bedding materials these animals need. I am allergic to plant molds and the bedding chokes me right up. The pine bedding is not as bad as the cedar for me. I used to be an assistant in the room of a teacher who had multiple pets (rat, guinea pig, bird, tarantula, etc.) and it was a killer.
