Scrap the academics and just teach behavior until you get the kids doing things the way you want them to. If you get some academics done fine if you don't fine because until you have the discipline you won't have anything else anyway. But remember there is a big difference between 4th and 1st so maybe you're expecting too much attention for too long? Good luck
