supply money
By SGS

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, everyone! I had no idea how much other teachers received, (or didn't receive) until I read this post. You are not going to believe this but every December we have to complete our supply orders for the next year. We
are allowed $2,200 to spend on all of our supplies, including text books. (Although when our district decides to purchase a new text series, as they did last year, they supply the new texts). I've been teaching in this school for about 12 years, (and teaching 17 years) so I have a pretty good selection of resources and supplies.

I thought this was how every elementary school in our

district "divied" up their money, but discovered that was not the case. We have an excellent principal that feels that the teachers know best what supplies they need. The other principals in our district allow the teachers $250, then they keep the rest for general supplies for the school. Interesting!!
