This book When Zachary Beaver Came to Town is so funny and touches upon looks, it's about a very fat boy....it is well written and won a National award.... it's by Kimberly _______ Holt.... not sure of the middle name.

GOOD LUCK, Also as forementioned, There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom is just about the best first read aloud I can think of...all kids love it!
