I guess the part that I don't understand is the part that says it "is the root of all evil in the world". I don't deny that some who believe that they have The Truth, are evil. I'm not blind to the oppression around the world. "All" is what gets to me.
Think of Martin Luther King Jr.- He believed in the one truth that all men are indeed created equal and should be treated as such. Was it evil to spread the truth that people should "not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character"?
