Does your school system have a behavior disorder unit? You may have to go through your special ed. teacher or the school counselor. Sometimes allowing the school counselor can have one on one meetings with the troubled
student and that helps. Also, do you think maybe that there is something going on at home, such as physical, mental, verbal, or sexual abuse, which could cause this child to react the way he is. Sometimes being manipulative and agressive are signs of problems at home. Not always, however, I had a student last year who was very disruptive and became more so near the end of school. I sought

help through the school counselor and spec. ed. teacher as well as the principal. After talking to his parents we discovered they were having problems too. Sometimes there just isn't any reason, they just have this anger inside them that they need to get rid of. Thats where a behavior disorder unit comes in. It was too late in the year for my student to be sent there, but maybe they can help you. These are specially trained teachers and aides who work specially and only with behavior disorder kids. I know, if your like me, you don't want to give up on the kid, but when nothing you do works seek out those who can help you the most. Just keep in mind you have to consider the other student's and your own safety.
