    We have a policy where their lowest average has to be a 50, so at the end of the 9 weeks we can just override their actual average. I would rather do that than change individual grades, because that is not a reflection of what that student actually did. I would make sure that I had some sort of documentation about what the child's actual grade was for the assignments. Our admin made a big deal about report cards being legal documents, so I would not feel comfortable saying a child made one score when they actually made something else. I also think that a 60 is too high for a lowest grade policy.

    What if a student refuses to complete an assignment? I've had some who just would not do the work out of defiance, so would they still get a 60? I'd have a real problem with that.
