I don't have the book, but i know there is a book just by that title almost...you can check it out...sorry I don't know the title off the top of my head. Here's just a list of some ideas that I've seen some people
--any kind of quiet, educational gmaes that can be alone or in partners. --If your students are a bit older and can read basic books...they can make their own books on tape and record stories on blank tapes to give to the kindergarten room or donate to a children's hospital or women's shelter. --computer programs/games --have a weekly challenge math problem that is something difficult that they CAN do...but will be multiple steps and take some time. They can work on this in their free time. --have a book club...for each book they read in class, they can get a stamp or sticker and then after every 10 or however many books, they get to choose a prize. Just a few ideas..hope you can use some!
