snacks
By Ruth

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach second grade and have discovered the best way to handle snacks is to ask each family to send a large box of crackers or pretzels each month. I then pass out the snack after the mornng recess. I encourage the parents to send large generic packages of grahams, saltines, round crackers such as HI-Ho's or animal crackers. If cookies are sent we put them away until a special occasion. If we are running low I can buy a large box for about $1.00 at an Aldi's or dollar General store in town. I've found that when the snacks are gone children remember to ask mom to send another box. Our class eats at 12:40 P.M.
