Cheap and No work, classroom pet
By Crystal

Clip to ScrapBook
Last year was my first year and of course I wanted my room to have everything. The middle of the year my students kept talking about getting a classroom pet. I wanted something that I didn't want to put any money or care
into. I found the perfect pet. Our class had a pet furby. My students are fifth grade and they loved it. I only had to pay for the furby ($20) and the battery ($5). It was great. A furby is a mechanical stuffed animal. You have to feed it my sticking your finger in its mouth. It will talk furbish and the longer you have him, it will start speaking english. I had a pet feeder weekly,
which my kids were so excited about. THey were able to play with him at inside recess. the only downfall is that once you play with him, it will take him a few minutes to stop talking. By the end of the year, my students didn't even pay attention when it was talking when it shouldn't have been. I hope this helps.
