supply money
By Jessica

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach in central Missouri and we were given $250 dollars to spend at the end of the school year last year and then an extra $100 to spend if the levy passed over the summer (which it did, yeah pay raise). I spend all of
the $250 on purchase orders from known supply companies like School Specialty. One important note is to spend all of your money soon. I was a first year teacher last year and really didn't know what I needed so I was going to wait until mid-year to spend the rest of the money. Well funds were tight and after November no more PO's were approved. I lost almost $200. So the moral is spend
it all fast or they will take it. The last $100 dollars I saved to buy stuff at the beginning of the year that I forgot I needed or just had to have and I will turn in the reciepts.

Here is an interesting side note...I taught summer school and received $150 for a 4 week enrichment class, when I only get $350 for the entire school year.

Good luck,
Jessica/3/MO
