Hi Linda,
Have kids brainstorm things they'd like to know about each other...talents, favorites, etc. Type the questions and have them interview one another to display. Take a photo of each child (or small groups, if
the expense of developing is too much for you), and add these to the board.
Take photos of the kids through out your day, ask the kids to write about what they do during those times, type and post them around a colorful class schedule you've charted.
Have the kids get in teams to interview the other adults at school-secretaries, maintenance, special area teachers, etc. and take
photos there as well.
If you haven't had them list what they'd like to learn over the year, make a huge web and add everyone's 'Wonders' to it. You can incorporate their questions as you work thru the curriculum, or thru individual or small group projects.
