Classroom management By Debbie
|
| Hi all, I'm not sure I'd support a management system where all the students names/cards/numbers were visible to all. Seems that it might cause negative peer pressure or teasing. I also don't believe that children need to be rewarded for following expectations that keep the classroom learning community safe and supportive. I'd suggest you decide upon the 'expectations' or 'code of conduct' as a class...builds a sense of mutual respect between all members of the learning community. For more, read 'Punished by Rewards' or other titles by Alfie Kohn. Best of luck everyone on a great opening of school! ;-D
