6th grade management
By Barb

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach 6th grade. The main thing to remember is to set rules and make sure the kids know them. If possible, check with the junior high teachers to see what their rules are and you can modify it for 6th grade. Be fair and consistent. I keep a clipboard with the students names. I or the other 6th grade teacher make marks when the student has misbehaved or not had work done on time. If a student gets 5 checks, they have to stay after school for 1/2 hour. It works. No checks means there are reward--extra recess, movies, game day, etc.
