Our school started the Scott Foresman series last year and we were "all" overwhelmed (grades K-6). The final decision made by all grades was to pick and chose what to do. For the most part we did all that was given for
reading instruction or the first part of the day. When it came to the language arts we did not cover everything or else we built it in, in other areas so to cover other materials. At the end of the year everyone agreed that it was a great program, and in first grade we found that our students were reading at a higher level than what they would have with our other series. We are very excited

to see how this year goes with having kindergartners that have already been exposed to the series. Good luck and take it all in stride, that is all you can do !
