My class is just about finished with *There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom* and they LOVE it. Laughter the whole time! A great way to bring up some uncomfortable topics, too, like boy/girl relationships, bullying, etc.
Some other books my 5th graders love: the Inkheart series, Mysterious Benedict Society, Redwall.
