"long afternoons"

For the past two year my schedule has been real short mornings and real long afternoons. Right after recess we have bathroom breaks and silent reading. We get ready to do reading, language arts, and writing for about an hour and fifteen minutes. Then I give them time to work on some work together. This gives those that need to go to the bathroom again a chance to go. I then teach either science or social studies. At the end of the day I read for 15 min and do trivia with them. THey love it and it keeps me and them sane.
