Feelings
By Helen

Clip to ScrapBook
Tabitha, you said it all. John, I am proud of you. We need many more men in our profession! I especially wish we had them with our primary kids! So many of our kids do not get a good "role model" .
I have been teaching for thirty years..most in first grade. I do not hesitate to ell my kids i love them, I also tell them if I am feeling cranky, sad, whatever...and when I read to them, especially things like STONE FOX or LOVE YOU FOREVER, I tell them that I may cry but that it is okay because i love the stories soo much.
We live in such a fast paced, impersonal society now..if we don't discuss emotions, show emotions and caring...where will some of these kids learn to care??????
