use clothespins
By Tina

Clip to ScrapBook
I have done this and use clothespins. I print each student's name on the clothespin and have them move the pin to yellow (warning, loss of recess) and then red (note or call home). Each day they start at green. My stoplight is a smaller scale. I use paper plates (small Chinet style) and put circles of colored construction paper, red, yellow, green, in the middle. Then I attach the plates with brads to a backing, cardboard or poster board. The clothespins attach to the edge of the Chinet which sticks up and is strong enough to hold all the pins. Hope this helps.
