Inner City
By Jeanie

Clip to ScrapBook
I started this morning, and I teach inner city school children 2nd grade. I started the first 15 minutes of school with "Making our class Rules." Together we brainstormed possible class rules. Then we decided on the best ones. We all wrote them down, and signed a contract. One thing I have learned about inner city kids is that they thrive on postive praise. I know on the first day you will feel like a cheerleader, but be HAPPY, and they will be to. Praise them for even the smallest task or behavior. In the long run the good behavior will out way the bad.
