recycled art
By Julianne

Clip to ScrapBook
Two quick ideas for recycled art:

You can make a village using those mini milk cartons the kids get with lunch. Paint with poster paints, add windows, etc from construction paper or even recycled newsprint. Glue several together to make bigger buildings.

A teacher friend used to have students save any recycled items that were white - styrofoam, egg cartons, paper, etc. Then in January they would create "snowmen" and other snow creatures by gluing the pieces together. It was wonderful when it was finished, but what I remember was the bags and bags of junk in the corners of her room for weeks preceding the event, and the bits of white styrofoam floating gently out the door as the kids worked!
