Bad Policy: No Discount on Texts :)
By G.M.

Clip to ScrapBook
Diane,

I also inquired about the 20% teacher discount not being applied to this book. The B&N's employee told me that the discount cannot be applied to textbooks. I asked why. But the employee had no clue, nor any interest
in finding out why So, as you did, I paid full price. I am very glad I did. It's a treasure, isn't it?

I also have been rereading two other books you might find useful: "Strategies That Work" and
"Mosaic of Thought." I highly suggest that you read these. I don't know if B&N considers them texts; I don't think so. ButI didn't take any chances. I ordered them online

and got a discount. I think it was 20% off but not certain. I didn't have to pay for shipping either because they waive the shipping and handling costs if you buy at least two books at once. I don't know if this is an ongoing policy or if it's a special.

Perhaps if enough teachers began to voice their frustration regarding B&N not applying the 20% to texts, the policy will be changed. What do you think?

Sincerely,
G.M.
