jungle.

I had a jungle theme last year and the final day ended in a safari. We made binoculars from toilet rolls (cardboard and celophane.) They brought in a towel(for a pretend rest.) backpack, we made survival food. Made a campfire We went looking for hidden animals. I had pinned up animal pictures around my two rooms. We had some action poems about jungle animals. The day was fantastic. We seemed to learn more that day than many of the others. They came dressed for the part. eg discussed why you need to wear a hat, have a water bottle, first aid kit.
