I must admit, I do feel much better. I have created some folders (blank for now) for those children whose behaviors I may have to document. I was honestly more apprehensive about
Also, I understand about not telling parents about "Joey," or any child for that matter. If I were to have an emergency plan to take children out of the room, in case any child were to have a physical outburst -- wouldn't that in turn, send a message to the other parents that something was wrong with a student? I think it is a good idea to have an evacuation plan, not just for fires but also for outbursts. I could just say class, get ready for evacuation and send them to the gymnasium or lunchroom. I think it would be great for their safety, but I can imagine the parent phone calls and visits the next day! Thanks again!
