I hope this helps you. I used to work at a hardware/lumber store called West.. it is similiar to Home Depot or Lowe's.. anyhow we had chalkboard spray paint. All you had to do was spray the area that you wanted covered. I believe there was something for magnetic too. Call a nearby store and ask. They can definitely point you in the right direction.
