problem solving
By jen

Clip to ScrapBook
I use Math for Smarty Pants by Marilyn Burns during the first week. I pull different fun problem solving activities for each day. On the first or second day I usually do "$1 words". Each letter is worth a different amount: A = 1 cent, B = 2 cents, C = 3 cents, etc... The kids have to find words that equal a dollar when their letters are added up. Its a fun way to get them thinking and reasoning.
