    We did this at a workshop recently. It was a 2 day workshop and I only knew one other participant. After this mingle I found a few more people with similiar interests. The presenter posted 4 prompts on the whiteboard (not sure I can remember all 4), each participant chose 2 of the 4 prompts and wrote his/her responses-1 per index card. Then participants traded cards with others in the room. By the end you were trading cards that you hadn't written if that makes sense.

    favorite teaching energizer-way to get students energized
    can't remember the 4th
