Sounds like you could get in some great math lessons. Have the children choose a college and then let them figure out costs. Do a mileage count of how far away the college is from their home. How much gas would it take to get there and how many gallons. You could also find the famous people who attended certain colleges. Have them write to the colleges to get info (writing skills). They can also investigate the famous persons who started colleges ex Thomas Jefferson and University of Va. Also, Us News & World report ranks the best colleges. You could talk about the benefits of going to a highly ranked college. Ex. University of Va ranked no. 1 among top public colleges.
