I think you might like it. I am a first year teacher this year, 6th grade, but I have worked in the building as an instructional assistant for the past 6 years. The team I have worked on used a letter system. REACH R-responsibility,
E-excellance, A-accountability, C-character, H-honor. All the teachers worked together and a letter could be given for any infraction. It the student had 5 letters they would spell REACH and a letter went home for parents to sign. The 2nd time they had 5 letters they recieved a letter to parents+counselor referral, 3rd time a letter to parents and 1 day in school suspension,

4th time a letter to parents and 3 day in school suspension. The great thing about this was all the students teachers were added together. There were usually fewer then 5 students with 20 letters. (Out of 125 students) I think becasue all the teachers worked together and the students knew we talked to each other their behavior was not bad. Good luck.
