Hello,

I assigned seats in all classes last year and believe it or not it worked great!
I made a folder for every student and put it on a desk, randomly, usually "boy,girl,boy,girl..."
You could see the look in their eyes, like "whoa, she's in charge"
I let them know in that little way that this is our classroom, but I am in charge and control.
Sometimes, I would assign groups and if they "earned" it sometimes I would let students move around to work w/buddy.
