Pocket Chart Rebus Stories
By Patti - K in NC

Clip to ScrapBook
I use the pocket chart in my story center at the very beginning of the year. The children are able to tell and retell stories using picture cards, match letters to story lines written on sentence strips, etc. It's also a good tool to use when teaching colors and numbers - I.e. Five Green and Speckled Frogs rhyme - students count out the correct number of frogs and place them next to the correct number as they "read" the rebus poem. 'Hope this helps!
