Reassuring 2/3 Split
By Kristen

Clip to ScrapBook
I am also teaching a 2/3 split for the first time this year and feel for you totally! I am doing my classroom quite differently than you are. I am probably going to be doing alot of work but I think it will benefit the students
alot. I will be flip-flopping all day from 2nd to 3rd. I am teaching all the subjects totally separate. We have to teach objectives in our curriculum for each grade so I really have no choice. I am preparing alot of extra centers work and desk assignments for the class that I will not be working with and that will hopefully keep them busy!
I am getting the independent workers
that were hand chosen for my class. We told parents that their children were chosen because they had good work habits and were independent workers. That really made them feel better! I still have some reluctant parents, but I know that once we get rolling I will show them what a benefit having their child in my class will be for them!
Good luck!
