2/3 Split Class
By RTH

Clip to ScrapBook
My daughter was in a 2/3 combination class and something her teacher told parents has stayed with me since that time. She told us that we should feel good about having our child placed in that class, because SHE was the
teacher!

While this might sound a bit conceited, she went on to explain that she was a dedicated and capable professional, who would do everything possible to make sure that every child in the class, whether third grade or second grade had a wonderful year of learning. Her confidence, made us more comfortable and relaxed about the placement. This was helped by the fact that she was

an incredible teacher and did give the students a year of learning that was extraordinary.

So, let your confidence in your ability show in your conversations with parents. Keep the goals for each level in the forefront as you plan and strive to meet the needs of the individual students.

Good luck.
