Hi KR,
I'd suggest you get a book on Writer's Workshop. There are lots out there, try Heinemann or Stenhouse for starters. Both publishers have excerpts or entire books on line for you to read and decide if they'll suit your purposes. Also, don't forget to do read alouds from books written in journal format...Amelia's Notebook is a great start. If you'd like some suggested titles, post or email and I'll find them for you.
