where to start?????

I remember feeling like I didn't know where to start either...I finally began by making a welcome to my pad door for my room and putting the kids names on frogs on the door and that got me rolling.

WHat I wish someone
anyone would have told me ahead of time was that our school makes a really big deal about Young Author's Day. I didn't have a clue what was expected and I was not prepared for the big day. So ask your fellow teachers what big activities happen through out your school year that you should prepare for and write it on your calendar. If there is a second year teacher you could talk to

ask her what she wishes she knew during her first year that she didn't know.

Also I wish I knew that we don't celebrate Christmas at our school since we have so many different cultures. We celebrate winter holidays instead and that's a much bigger deal than just doing Christmas.
