Hi! I taught grade 4 last year and I am teaching grade 5 this year. I always set up a writing center with paper, pencils, folders, stamps (rough draft, date) etc. My students also use the center for free time as well. Every writing mini-lesson taught in class is summarized onto a sheet of paper and posted in the writing center, so my students know how to get help on their own. For example "how to show conversation in your writing". How about designating a space in the room (on the wall) for each class? Hope this helps! Kurt
