fifth grade management

Clip to ScrapBook
We do parallel scheduling and we only do birthdays and such things for our homerooms. It's a lot easier to keep track of 25 students than 100!! Check with the other teachers you will be changing with. See what they want to do. All of you should try to do basically the same thing so that none of the students feel left out. If you do birthdays for your homeroom but the other teachers don't, the other students may have hurt feelings or think that their teacher doesn't care as much. The best advice I can give is to get to know the other teachers well and work with them on all of this. It's worked well for me. Hope this helps.
