still got the blahs

I can relate. I have had the blahs, too, as I have thought of returning to school. The reason for my feelings is that the class I had last year was really horrible. I have taught a number of years, and that bunch was about
the worst I ever came across. Supposedly, my class is going to be better this year. Okay, still the blahs. I saw my class list for this year a few days ago and decided that I had a few kids' names on that list I'd rather not have.
Well, now, today I went out and bought some brand new supplies to shake the blah feeling. I got rid of the stuff I had used in my classroom last

year--I dumped it into the trash can at the end of the year--and decided that I am going to start fresh with everything looking different this year. It was fun shopping for new stuff at the teacher supply store. Less blah.

A lead teacher at my school called me a few days ago to congratulate me on my students' performance in their state achievement test schores. Even better

I think that once you start your new job, you will feel more enthusiastic. There seems to be a shining rainbow beyond the blahs.
